The Vizsla Club of America, organized originally in the early 1950’s as the Magyar Vizsla Club, received its present name in order to facilitate breed recognition by the AKC.
VCA sponsors an annual national event which rotates around the country each year. During this event, the VCA sponsors a national field championship stake, a national amateur field championship stake, a national specialty show, national obedience and rally competitions, and a national agility trial. These competitions distinguish the VCA as one of the few national parent breed clubs to offer combined events for their membership.
